Chocolate Coconut Smoothie Recipe

We love all sorts of smoothies. Green smoothies, tropical smoothies, you name it. But, we have to say- chocolate smoothies might just top the charts for us. Here’s a smoothie that’s not only healthy but will also satisfy your sweet tooth. If you get those late night cravings- try whipping this recipe up instead of eating those cookies you have stashed away. As a bonus, the coconut oil in this recipe will keep your immune system running smoothly and your metabolism all fired up!

 

Ingredients

 

1 1/2 cups almond milk

½ a frozen banana

1 medjool date or 1 tablespoon natural sweetener

1 teaspoon vanilla

4 tablespoons of cacao powder

1 tablespoon coconut oil (or 1 sachet of Coco Rinse if you want a Chocolate-Mint Smoothie!)

optional: ½ cup chocolate protein powder

 

How To Whip it Up

 

Combine all ingredients and blend on high. If your blender has trouble cutting through frozen fruit, blend the almond milk, date, and frozen banana together first before adding the other ingredients. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
